Z Hotels Review (London Leicester Square)

This post is based on a trip to London we booked and paid for ourselves. We stayed on a Tuesday night in April 2026 (booked Jan 2026).

A little bit more info about where we stayed in London.

When we stay in the city, we don't want a big fancy hotel as we barely spend any time there.

We mostly look for somewhere that's in a good location with plenty of options within walking distance, somewhere that offers complimentary luggage storage and is close to a tube station. The price also has to be right.

Z Hotels nailed it!

We stayed in their Leicester Square venue and would recommend. Easy to walk to a lot of London including ChinaTown, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, the South Bank, St Paul's Cathedral and more.

Love all the perks like Sky Sports & Movies, complimentary hot drinks in the lounge throughout your stay (proper coffee too), bottled water by the bed, a complimentary alcoholic drink and cheese buffet between 5 & 8pm.

Most of these perks can only be accessed if you sign up to be a member via their website. It's a no brainer though as it's free and you get discounted rates when you book.

The staff were so lovely and I liked that it's a 24/7 reception here too so there is always somebody on hand.

Things that may not be for you - some of the rooms do not have windows so check your room type when you book if you need this and the bathroom doors are just frosted glass. Not visible from the bed and you can't see through them so not a massive issue but I know this type of bathroom can put people off.

I will definitely be looking at staying with this brand for future London trips. We loved our stay and it felt like a bargain but still special. Find out more: https://www.thezhotels.com/members/
