This is a question that pops up in our Facebook group time and time again so I thought I would collate all of the recommendations that have been posted in there into one easy-to-read post. In 2023 I am planning on walking quite a lot of the North East Coast and thought it would be handy to share the different walks you can enjoy which are particularly suitable for kids as one round up post. I will add to this post as I explore more of the coastline so do bookmark this post to come back to.

Key Facts
February Half Term seems to be split across two weeks this year with some of the North East breaking up on 10/2 and some on 17/11. This guide will try and cover both weeks. Do check when your school breaks up before booking anything and always check info with venues direct before heading out.
Lilidorei at The Alnwick Garden is now open! This much anticipated attraction has been YEARS in the making and I am so pleased that it's open and it's fantastic that we have such a brilliant new attraction to enjoy in my home county of Northumberland.

We’ve rounded up the pubs in the North East with indoor soft play so that you can enjoy your Sunday roast while the kids can have fun burning off some energy! Some have small play areas, some have massive full-blown soft plays attached to them.

Seahouses is a popular harbour village in Northumberland. To me, it kind of feels a little grittier than some of the other villages in Northumberland.
I will be honest when I say that despite always enjoying a day trip to Seahouses, it is somewhere that has never completely captured my heart in the same way that places like Amble and Craster have.
Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England. In fact, we're said to have over 70 castles here (althoough Wiki narrows that list down to 48). Ever since my friend Hannah from Mumsdays visited every castle in Northumberland in 2015, I have wanted to do the same.
