15 FREE Days Out with a Baby or Toddler

When you have a baby or a toddler, it always helps to get out of the house and do something doesn’t it? Whether it is a local baby group or giving them a new experience, it takes you away from the mountain of laundry and gives you both a change of scene.

North East Gaming Cafes

Gaming Cafes have certainly grown in popularity over the last few years and there are now a few to choose from in North East England.

Typically, they are a brightly lit space featuring the latest games and consoles where you pay a set price for unlimited play within a certain time frame.

Let me know if you know of any others for us to add to our list. Always check details with venues direct for the most up to date info. Prices checked January 2023 and are subject to change.

Most (if not all) of these venues offer private hire too and are an ideal place to celebrate a birthday too.

20 Things to do at Seahouses, Bamburgh & Beadnell

Ad - This post has not been asked or paid for but does include accommodation that we stayed in as part of a press stay in January 2023.

Seahouses is a popular harbour village in Northumberland. To me, it kind of feels a little grittier than some of the other villages in Northumberland.

20 Things to do at Seahouses, Bamburgh & Beadnell

I will be honest when I say that despite always enjoying a day trip to Seahouses, it is somewhere that has never completely captured my heart in the same way that places like Amble and Craster have.

Visit 30 Castles in Northumberland

Northumberland has more castles than any other county in England. In fact, we're said to have over 70 castles here (althoough Wiki narrows that list down to 48). Ever since my friend Hannah from Mumsdays visited every castle in Northumberland in 2015, I have wanted to do the same.

Visit 30 Castles in Northumberland

My eldest teen is keen to do this too and he'll be heading off to uni in two years time so this year seemed like the year for us to complete the challenge.
