(ad) SAVE THE DATE for a FREE GIANT DOMINO RUN IN NEWCASTLE CITY CENTRE
Sunday 9 August 2026. Building will take place from 2.30pm The Grand Fall will take place at 4:30pm and will be a spectacle like no other seen in our city. Get down early to secure your preferred viewing spot. There will be loads of other cool free stuff happening in the city that day as part of the NOVUM festival. More info to follow. 
Across the day, thousands of breezeblocks will be placed to form a sculptural chain running east to west through the city centre - on streets, through public spaces, into venues, off buildings right across the city........
And then at 4:30pm, a chain reaction will begin and the dominos will tumble one at a time right across the city.
Over 300 volunteers will help bring Dominoes Newcastle to life and build the chain. If you'd like to take part in the build, email for more information via: novum@newcastle.gov.uk
