North East Christmas Gift Guide (+ £1000 giveaway)

This is an advertisement - the businesses mentioned in this post have kindly donated a prize to our mega North East Business giveaway. Scroll to the bottom of this post to enter, you won't want to miss it!

Over the last few years, I have tried to support North East businesses in the run up to Christmas. I know that lots of you are interested in supporting our local and small businesses and that every single sale does make a difference.

Even if you don't purchase anything, following the businesses that you are interested in mentioned in this post on Social Media and interacting with their posts is a FREE and easy way to show your support so please do consider doing this.

Grab a coffee and enjoy browsing through this post. I hope you find something you like.

Tian's Gifts

Tian's Gifts have a physical shop in the Grainger Market or you can shop online via their website. I absolutely love Tian's products and it's a go-to place for something thoughtful & unique that won't break the bank. Some of my favourite products are their pop-up Christmas cards, real leaf bookmarks and stationery.

Football Devotion

I am so pleased I found this website as it's such a great place to find unique gifts for football fans and not to be stereotypical here but those hard to buy for men in your life. There are gifts based around most of the big teams and I especially like the retro gifts. I mean how cool is this retro coaster! It'll make a brill stocking filler.

Philomena's Boutique

My friend Mandy (who you may know from Mandy Charlton's Photography) is the Queen of Christmas and runs an online Christmas boutique. This year, they have specialised in unique hand painted ceramics and they sell gorgeous cheese boards, tree decorations, coasters and more that you won't find anywhere else.

Chewlery

Chewlery create BPA-silicone 'chewlery', ideal for teething, twiddling, anxiety, ADHD, sensory and autism. You can choose from a ready made design or message their page to custom make your own. I think these will make a brilliant present for a new mum or little one.

Amy's Afternoon Tea

Amy's Afternoon Tea (based in Bedlington) create the most beautiful afternoon teas to be enjoyed at home alongside custom cakes and treat boxes. Gift vouchers are available and will make a lovely gift for any afternoon tea lover.

The Angler's Arms Sheepwash

If instead of a Christmas gift, you prefer to enjoy a festive meal with friends or family instead. How about Angler's Arms at Sheepwash? Their Christmas Fayre is reasonably priced and runs from 30 Nov - 23 December.

Sycamore Cottage Glamping

Sycamore Glamping is home to two luxury glamping pods (and a dog-friendly cozy cottage) on a working farm in Northumberland. They look incredible with lots of special touches and receive 5* reviews. Check out their page for their Black Friday deals and why not treat someone to a special trip away this Christmas. Gift vouchers are available too.

The Pudding Parlour

I've used the Pudding Parlour a few times in the past few years and their mail order treat boxes are perfect to sending someone as a gift through the post (ideal if self isolating / unable to travel etc....). Gift vouchers are also available if you can't choose!

This Christmas they are stocking festive hot chocolate bombs, festive cakes, stuffed chocolate orange cookies, hot chocolate hampers, Christmas Eve treat boxes, Biscoff Cake Jars and more. Take a look at their website under 'seasonal' to see the whole range.

Not Just a Print

Not Just A Print specialise in personalised gifts and stock a huge range of products including personalised hot chocolate stations, home bar accessories, homeware, mugs, prints, santa sacks and more. They also create personalised Christmas Eve Santa Sacks which are a good alternative to Christmas Eve Boxes (and fit more in).

Book Subscription with Learning Ladders

The Learning Owl Book Club is a book subscription service from Learning Ladders Cleadon. Aimed at children aged 7-16, children will receive a personalised monthly package featuring two newly released / pre-released books (at least one will be signed by the author), goodies and a little treat (eg hot chocolate) and an activity pack all beautifully boxed and wrapped.

Nationwide delivery is available. Message Learning Ladders using the links below for more info and to order. A lovely gift for bookworms.

Spanish City

Gift vouchers are easy to purchase from the Spanish City website and can be used across all venues on site so the recipient can choose from afternoon tea, a seafood dinner, fish and chips, cocktails, a meal in 1910 & more. I like that these vouchers offer such choice and are valid for 18 months too. Order gift vouchers via the Spanish City website.

Bella Boo's Gifts

Bella Boo's Gifts create popular themed cookie painting kits which look brilliant for Christmas Eve / a rainy day in the holidays. Last orders for cookies is 25 November but if you've missed out, follow their page as they offer seasonal ranges across the year (I'm sure they'll be doing something for Easter).

As well as paint your own cookie kits, Bella Boo's Gifts sell a range of personalised gifts & mugs too.

Little Wood Walkers

Little Wood Walkers create lovely gifts designed for younger children to make the most of their time outdoors including their popular Plessey Woods and Rising Sun Country Park adventure books, mud kitchen recipe cards, scavenger hunt cards and prompts for making up stories on outdoor adventures.

Their products are super high quality and I really wish they were around when my three were little. Check out their full range and order via their website below.

Cards by Georgia

Cards By Georgia create beautifully designed positivity calendars, bookmarks, notebooks, cards and stationery. I love their designs and think they are perfect for hard-to-buy for tweens/teens. I know that Dee would love any of these products. Order via Social Media below.

Rainbow Sparkles Store

Rainbow Sparkles produce handmade hair accessories for children. Their products are beautiful yet inexpensive and I love the festive themed designs. Perfect as a stocking filler or to order for a Christmas party.

Handmade & Heartfelt

Handmade & Heartfelt produce handmade decorations and homeware including christmas stockings for pets, tree decorations and glitter glasses. Order via their Facebook page below.

Apollo Creations

Apollo Creations are a lush local business specialising in cute stationery, notebooks and quirky cards. I love their range and this year they have brought out some tree decorations too. Dee has their eye on this Christmas tree sloth.

Geo Journey

Geo Journey are a subscription based gift based on either travelling the globe or space. Children will receive an 'explorer' kit featuring a journal, passport, map and activities and then each month will receive a special delivery with additional themed gifts and activities through the door. Subscriptions are available for 6-12 months and can be purchased via the website below:

Kingy's Cakes

Kingy's Cakes (based in Rowland's Gill) create beautiful cakes and themed boxes including this Christmas Eve box which is available to order via their Facebook page below.

Their cakes are honestly so nice and I know they already have a lot of fans around the region. Christmas cupcakes and 'Elf on the Shelf' cupcake boxes are also available.
What Katy Made

I adore the range of festive clothing available from What Katy Made. So many lovely designs and I urge you to check out their Etsy store below.

Elf for Christmas

Elf for Christmas stock a wide range of accessories for your Christmas elf including cards, reward kits, calendars, stickers, books and more. This year they have also launched a range of festive hoodies.
