Enchanted Parks 2016 at Saltwell Park, Gateshead - All You Need to Know

Enchanted Parks sells out every year and is always an event that receives rave reviews. This year's theme is 'A Midwinter Night's Tale' and features 14 art installations that bring the park magically to life. Inspired by the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, the trail is an enchanting after dark adventure for all ages.

Tickets for 2016 have now sold out but if you're lucky enough to have tickets, the adventure continues until Sunday 11th December. We sent guest blogger Helen and her family along (who were Enchanted Park newbies) and this is what they had to say:-

"What can I say about the Enchanted Parks? We've never been before but will definitely look to going next year. The projection of the show on the Saltwell tower was amazing and walking through the wood following the fairies in the trees was great fun for all ages.

The kids took part in a machine that took photos of them which was then projected onto some screen which the kids found very amusing. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would definitely recommend."

Emma from Canny Food agrees:-

"Our particular favourite is Nyx, a machine which leaves a trail of words in it's wake. It was impressive to watch the text come to life on the paths."
