Our Christmas Book Advent tree

We have always loved reading in our house and as our eldest child is 8 years old, we already have quite a collection of Christmas books. This year, I have decided to finish our collection to make 24 books and turn them into a Christmas book advent tree that will sit under the tree throughout December. The idea is that every evening before bed, a new book will be unwrapped and shared. How exciting!

The thought of finding (and wrapping) 24 books may seem daunting but there are LOTS of title's to choose from. I already had a box of Christmas books that I bring out every year and I scoured the internet for the best deals to boost my collection. Most of my books were bought from amazon, Usborne and the book people. I spent about £30 this year to bring my total number of books to 24.

So, in no particular order, here are our Christmas books:-

- The Sheep that saved Christmas

- Christmas with you

- Little Penguin Lost

- I've seen Santa

- Is it Christmas yet

- Grumpy Badger's Christmas

- The Smelly Sprout

- The Nativity

- Whizzy Santa

- The Fairytale Hairdresser and Father Christmas

- The Snowman

- Father Christmas needs a wee

- Aliens love Panta Claus

- The Jolly Christmas Postman

- Mr. Men The Christmas Party

- Santa's Beard

- The story of Christmas

- T'was the night before Christmas

- The twelve days of Christmas

- The Little White Owl

- Silent Night

- The Magical Christmas

- Lost in the snow

- Christmas poems

Well done for reaching the end of the list!! I hope to update this post with a short review of each book as we read them throughout December. Follow North East Family Fun on facebook to find out how we get on.
