Lightwater Valley - What's On

Lightwater Valley is a theme park in Ripon, North Yorkshire which is perfect for families with under 10s to enjoy.

Treetop Trails (formerly Treetop Nets) are now included with admission and is your chance to walk amongst the treetops and bounce with all of the family.

Other new attractions for 2021 include Go Safari, the Savannah Express, Kangaroo Jump, Elephant Flight, Hot Balloons and Monkey Drop rides.

In total there are over 30 rides and attractions with all outdoor rides now open including:

  • Little Dipper
  • Carousel
  • Skyrider
  • Ladybird Rollercoaster
  • Splash Falls
  • Indoor Play Areas (once restrictions allow)
  • Outdoor Play Areas

Lightwater Valley reopens on 17 April and is now open every weekend plus daily during school holidays. Tickets should be pre-booked in advance and are priced as follows:

Lightwater Valley is extending their opening over Bank Holiday Weekend and will be open on Saturday - Monday. They are also open daily during May Half Term.

At the moment, Lightwater are limiting numbers and tickets must be pre-booked. Additional cleaning and hygiene measures and in place and there are socially distanced queue markers in place for the rides.

You can read more about what will be open / COVID precautions in place here.

We have always enjoyed Lightwater Valley and never found queuing to be a problem - we have visited 5/6 times over the years and always managed to get straight on most of the rides.

You may remember I shared earlier this year that some of the 'thrill' rides have now been removed and Lightwater Valley is very much placing themselves as a place to visit with younger / Primary aged children. Ideal as a first theme park visit.

  1. This is great, we went back in 2019 and loved it so much. Its nice to hear they are framing it for little kids. Will definitely be planning a trip back once things settle.

  2. Is there much suitable for a 2 year old or would you say worth waiting until they are a bit older? Thanks!
