Ninja Warrior Adventure Park Wigan Review

Whilst staying at my friend's house near Wigan this summer, I was looking for somewhere for us to take the kids for the afternoon. I wanted somewhere that was close by, would be fun for the kids but also allow myself time to catch up with my friend. Ninja Warrior fit the bill and as huge fans of the show, I knew the kids would love it.

Ninja Warrior Wigan - Cost

Ninja Warrior is such a bargain at just £10 per participant for one hour. This gives you access to both the adventure park and the inflatable arena. Under 4s are just £5.95 (in the under 4 area - they must be supervised). There are special events too and at the time of writing, you can take part in a boot camp session for £5 and inflatable parties are just £15 pp. Find out more about events here and book a regular session here. If you wish to try the inflatable course, you need to purchase Ninja Warrior socks on arrival for £1.50. This feels like a bit of a con as they are just normal socks but the kids loved their little souvenir and £1.50 doesn't break the bank. 

Ninja Warrior Wigan - Age Recommendations

The under 4s area looked a bit rubbish to be honest and I think if you only have pre-schoolers with you, you'd be better off visiting a soft play centre. I do like that little ones can go on the larger inflatables when accompanied by a grown-up though.

Most of the equipment is suitable for those over 1.25m and personally, I'd wait until your kids were that height before taking the trip. We let the kids go on themselves but there were loads of grown ups taking part too if you fancy a challenge.

Ninja Warrior Wigan - What's Inside?

The arena is split into three main sections - a cafe/seating area, an adventure park and an inflatable park. The main arena has most of the challenges from the hit TV show and you are free to go around them as you please. Expect monkey bars, hanging rings, rope challenges and of course the infamous wall. There are two walls to try and beat (one is for kids aged 14+) and as a spectator, it was brilliant watching kids and grown-ups take on the challenge. 

The inflatable park is huge and something that really challenged my three- they loved it! 

Ninja Warrior Wigan - Food, Drink & Merch

We bought two pints and three slushes for £18. There's a cafe and you can stay after your session for a bite to eat. Lots of the kids here were kitted out in Ninja Warrior merch too - you can buy Ninja Warrior Headbands (£1.50), gloves (£3.50) and sweat bands (£1.50) on site.

We had a brilliant time at Ninja Warrior UK Wigan and when compared with other similar parks around the UK, I feel like it offered fantastic value for money. With free parking, free entry for spectators, a competitive admission cost and loads to entertain the kids, it made for a brilliant day out. If you're planning a trip North West this year, it's one to check out. No other attraction we've ever visited has worn my kids out as much as Ninja Warrior did. I'd advise wearing lightweight trousers and a t-shirt or vest top.
