Introducing new cocktails and ales at The Botanist

I have blogged about my love for the Botanist on numerous occasions and it is one of our go-to bars in Newcastle city centre. In fact it was only last week we popped in for a cocktail and beer to take a break from shopping on Northumberland Street.

Brewers and Botanists

There are three new drinks on the menu with an entirely new concept - perfect for those who can't decide whether to choose from one of The Botanist's selection of 80 beers (pick up an anthology below and take a peek to read more next time you visit) or one of their beautiful cocktails.

Botanist list of real ales

Number One, Number Two and Number Three are three carefully selected pairings of ale with a miniature Botanist cocktail on the side which have been chosen to perfectly compliment each other. We tried a Number One which is a cocktail made with mint, lime juice, passionfruit syrup and pineapple juice with a splash of Wray and Nephew served with a cold bottle of Innis and Gunn Rum Finish. This is a drink that will definitely appeal to my other half and I know he will try all three of these drink combinations next time we visit.

Brewers and Botanists - ale and cocktail pairing

The Botanist really is a perfect place to catch up with friends over a few cocktails or ales. Their nibbles and sharing boards are highly recommended and can be ordered from the bar or restaurant. You can expect live music every single night at The Botanist too so a good atmosphere will always be guaranteed.

  1. My husband would love the cocktails and ale pairings, I'm just an out and out cocktail girl though but they all look yummy
