If you visit between 12 July & 30 August 2025, you can enjoy ‘L’été Gaulois’ which includes lots of extra activities at no additional cost.
Translated as ‘Gallic Summer’ you can enjoy 7 fabulous water attractions including a pirate-themed log flume, thrilling rapids with a 195m descent and a gentle boat trip around Ancient Greece alongside huge banquets, parades, late night opening, outdoor entertainment and more.
If you’d like to make a weekend of it, there are three themed hotels within the theme park. You can choose from the peaceful Les Trois Hiboux Hotel which includes character visits, storytelling and early theme park access. This hotel can sleep up to 6 guests in one room too.
Or how about La Cité Suspendue where you can stay in an ancient forgotten city with character visits and a themed restaurant? (rooms sleep up to 5).
If you’d really like to spoil yourself, Les Quais De Lutèce transports you back to Roman times with themed accommodation sleeping up to 6 guests.
Accommodation packages start at 88 euros per person including one night stay, breakfast, parking, character visit and theme park entry with early access.
3 - It’s Easy to Get to
This theme park is super easy to get to from the UK (just 35km North of Paris) and you could easily plan a short weekend break or add a visit as part of a longer holiday in France.
The easiest way to visit is via the direct shuttle bus from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Parc Astérix which departs up to every 15 minutes. There are daily flights to Paris from Newcastle Airport with Air France or budget airlines Easyjet and Ryanair fly direct from Edinburgh in August from just £15. Bargain!
Alternatively, there’s a bus from Paris Nord station or if you fancy driving abroad, there’s a large on-site car park.
4 - There’s a Circus Themed Restaurant
What I love about French Amusement Parks is that their dining options are so good! Parc Astérix is no exception and there’s a fabulous circus-themed restaurant inside a big top where you can enjoy an unlimited themed buffet.
This restaurant receives rave reviews and includes lots of options from around the world including Greece, Rome, France and Spain. Booking in advance is recommended.

And finally, the main reason to visit this theme park is that there are lots of fun rides, shows and attractions for all ages.
Thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies are spoilt for choice with multiple rollercoasters, terrifying haunted houses and high-flying swings.
Families can enjoy a brand new Blacksmith ride new for Summer 2025 alongside smaller roller coasters, carousel rides and themed adventure playgrounds.
