Ephesia Holiday Beach Club in Kusadasi - Review & Tips

We decided to book an all inclusive hotel in Turkey for our annual summer holiday this year. We last visited (Antalya) in 2009 and the kids were keen to return. I do feel like you get better value for money when visiting Turkey when compared to Spain etc..... too but as a family of 5 choosing to travel during school holidays, it's still not cheap.

Newcastle Quayside Bridges | A Walking Challenge

Thanks to our writer Alyssa for this fab post and photos. It shares how you can cross the River Tyne via 7 different bridges in one day. A lovely alternative walk / adventure to try with a few places to stop en-route too. This post was published in July 2023. Over to Alyssa......

The sun comes out and suddenly my Facebook and Instagram become covered in people wandering along the famous Newcastle Upon Tyne Quayside creating a buzz among the nearby beer gardens.

Does anyone ever look at the typical beer garden photos and think - I wonder what the view is like from up there? The beer garden under the sage in this photo is usually swarming, I keep meaning to check it out - something for the summer bucket list!

Longframlington Playground & Running Fox Picnic

Longframlington play park (also known as King Georges Playing Fields) has been a favourite of ours for many years, so when the Running Fox bakery opened a cafe there in 2016, we couldn’t believe our luck. This play park just got even better!

Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne Trail

Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne is a brand new trail made up of 45 statues which will be located across Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding areas. Similar to previous Snowdogs and Elmer trails, it will raise £ and awareness for St Oswald's Hospice.

Shaun the Sheep on the Tyne Trail

I always love taking part in these trails and we will be keeping our eyes peeled for Shauns when out and about this summer. The trail launches on 19 July and runs until 27 September. Some people are hardcore and try and find them all in one day but personally, I prefer to split the trail into sections and combine with another activity and enjoy over a few weeks - there is plenty of time.

Alexandra Park, Cramlington

Alexandra Park is a real gem in Cramlington and a place that's had quite a bit of investment over the past few years and is well worth a visit. This post was first published in July 2023 and information may change over time.
