Buy a 3 Month Art Pass for just £15

Today I am sharing a fantastic deal - a 3 Month Art Pass trail deal. Purchase this pass for just £15 and you will be entitled to unlimited free entry to 100s of UK museums, galleries and attractions including many here in the North East.

This post was first published in January 2020 and has been updated for June 2023. It's super important you always check t&cs direct before buying as information can change.

The pass is available for a limited time only (buy before 30 June 2023)  and lasts for 3 months from date of purchase. The expiry date is rounded to the end of the month of expiry. This means you can use it across the summer months and summer holidays.

The pass is only for adults so you will have to pay for child entry to some of these attractions - however most of the attractions in the scheme offer free or reduced child entry anyway.

This year, there is a new option to add '+ kids' to your trial for £5 which means you can bring your kids under 16 in your family along for free too (I can't see any limit on numbers for this one).

You can also purchase a 'plus one' pass for £5 extra which allows you to bring along an extra adult (they don't need to be named and it can be a different adult each time).

As far as I can see, the 3  Month Art Pass does not involve any future tie-ins or commitments but you are only allowed to buy one 3 month pass per adult.  Please see here for terms and conditions or see below.

The 3-month art pass entitles you to free entry at over 65 attractions in the North, including:
  • Wallington Hall & Gardens
  • Seaton Delaval Hall
  • The Auckland Project
  • Preston Park Museum & Grounds
  • Paxton House
  • Cherryburn
  • The Bowes Museum
  • Berwick Museum and Art Gallery
  • Plus 100s of attractions across the UK. You can also receive 50% discount off selected attractions too. See here for more info about where is included.

Value for Money

If you purchase an Art Pass Trial for £15 and add an extra adult (£5) and kids (£5) this is £25 and gives you unlimited entry to lots of attractions across three months.

Family entry to Wallington for one day is £40 so you already make your money back after just one visit to one venue.  I think it's definitely worth it and I like that the venues are a nice mix of indoor and outdoor venues and they are all accessible by public transport too.

The Art Pass - Our Recommendations

Wallington Hall and Gardens

Buy a 3 Month Art Pass for just £15 - Wallington Hall

Wallington Hall is a superb National Trust property. There are three brilliant adventure playgrounds, lots of woodland walks and nature, cycle trails, a glorious house, walled garden and more. It is somewhere you can easily spend a full day.

The X75 bus visits Wallington every Saturday across the summer.

Seaton Delaval Hall

Seaton Delaval Hall is a bit of a gem. Currently undergoing major renovation and restoration work, it is worth a visit to learn more about this magnificent hall.

There are lovely walks to enjoy, you can visit the house, there are usually little activities for children and you can visit the lovely  new playground. Read our review of Seaton Delaval Hall here.

Preston Park

I mention Preston Park a lot as it is soooo good! There is a Victorian Street with shops you can go into (kind of like a mini Beamish), a childhood museum, a huge adventure playground, walled garden and beautiful garden walks. Butterfly World is next door too and Preston Parks programme of events, especially in the school holidays is always fantastic. Read our review of Preston Park here.

Paxton  House

Paxton House is somewhere I have not visited myself but it is on the list! Northumberland Family Diaries highly recommends a trip. You can enjoy boat rides, trails, play parks and more.

Cherryburn

I always say Cherryburn is the National Trust's hidden gem. It is always pretty quiet and is the perfect place to let the kids run around the gardens as you relax in a deckchair. There are usually games in the garden and the house is worth a visit too. At the moment, you can only visit on Thursdays and Fridays and you need to book ahead.

You may just spot a few farmyard animals in the yard. Read our review of Cherryburn here.

The Bowes Museum

The Bowes Museum in Durham is a huge museum filled with lots of treasures. It is super child-friendly with lots of hands-on fun and friendly staff. Please note, the swan above is currently out of order.  Read our review of the Bowes Museum here.

This offer really does seem like too good of a deal to pass up. Remember, you must order before 30 June 2022.

  2. Entirely purchased a trial on the basis of your recommendation and loved the experience across the summer 22 with it so much we then went on to purchase a full annual pass with the kids plus option. We have used it at so many venues now it has more than paid for itself. Highly recommended Paxton House. Big thanks from all of us!
