Solve your Phone Memory Problems with SanDisk

I love my Google Pixel 2 (android) phone and I'm upgrading it to the Pixel 3 this week (yeah) but despite my phone offering unlimited cloud storage for photos I've taken, I still find myself running out of actual phone storage on a regular basis. It always happens at the worst moments too like when I'm just about to capture a perfect action shot, go to take the photo only for my phone to flash up that I've run out of internal memory and I have to sit down and sulk while I delete some photos from my phone to free up some space, knowing that I've already missed the perfect shot.

Solve the Problem with SanDisk Dual USB Drives

I am delighted to share with you a quick, inexpensive and easy solution to the problem. SanDisk has a range of products which simply plug into your phone's charging point. You can then back up or move photos from your phone onto the device at a touch of a button and even plug the device into your computer with the USB attachment to share/edit/store at a later date.

The device is simple and quick to use.

I used a SanDisk Dual USB drive during our recent trip to Holland and I was honestly blown away by how simple yet life-changing the device was to use. You simply plug the device into your phone, are prompted to download (or open) the SanDisk Memory Zone App and then you simply select the photos or files you'd like to back-up, delete or transfer. It is so user-friendly, intuitive and very easy to use. You don't need any WiFi connection or to charge the device and it's small enough to carry in your purse or attach to your keys and use on the go. Basically, these devices are like a mini external hard drive for your phone. You can even store movies on here for the kids to watch on the go (with no WiFi or phone signal required).

Why I love my SanDisk Dual USB Drive

Solve your Phone Memory Problems with SanDisk
I love that the SanDisk Dual USB Drive gives me the freedom to take as many photos as I like - never again will I miss a perfect shot.

.......and of course I can now take unlimited selfies without worrying they'll clog up my phone's memory

  • I can use it on the go - no WiFi is needed.
  • I can organise my photos into folders on the device straight away. I created a 'Duinrell 2019' folder during our trip and would transfer photos over as and when so they were all together in one place and very easy for me to access from my laptop at a later date.
  • Unlimited photos! I love that I'm no longer limited to taking photos through the fear of clogging up my internal phone storage. I'm free to take as many photos as I like now without worrying I'm taking up too much space.
  • The SanDisk Dual USB Drive is super simple to use - even for technophobes. I didn't need to ask Steve for help once.
  • It's a brilliant way to share photos. Steve plugged the USB end of the device into his laptop when he needed some food photos from our trip for a blog post. It was brilliant that they were all there in one folder and I didn't need to start searching my phone to find the photos he needed and then email them to him. It's also great for sharing photos with grandparents. I always have my SanDisk Dual USB Drive in my purse and can plug it into my grandparent's TV/laptop to share our holiday photos with them.
  • I am upgrading my phone next week and Harry is going to be the lucky owner of my old phone. SanDisk Dual USB Drive has been invaluable as I've been able to organise, delete, transfer and delete my photos from my old phone with ease to ensure the phone was 'as new' for Harry to use. I decided to do this on our ferry trip back from Holland and it was actually very satisfying.
  • The device is the perfect size to fit on your keyring or in your purse and easy to use 'on the go'.
  • I like the assurance of the extra back up this device provides. My photos are automatically backed up with Google Photos when I connect to WiFi but I often worry what would happen if Google somehow lost my entire photo collection. Knowing that I have my most precious photos backed up on this device is reassuring to know.
  • Transferring files is quick and easy. There's no hanging around for long periods of time. I managed to transfer 100 photos in around 10 seconds.
  • As well as photos, you can store and watch videos and movies straight from the USB drive which is perfect for travelling with kids when you don't have a WiFi connection. The video files can be watched via your phone/tablet/laptop directly from the USB drive so they don't take up valuable storage space from your phone/laptop/iPad.
  • The device has definitely enabled me to be more organised. I can use the SanDisk Memory App and Dual USB Drive to easily back-up, transfer and delete files all in one go.

The device does not require WiFi or batteries - I even used ours in the middle of the North Sea

As I mentioned above, the device has been life-changing for me but I do have a couple of niggles. Firstly, the slider to change the USB adapters from the different types (one type plugs into your phone and another into your PC/Laptop/Mac) feels a little on the flimsy side and secondly, with the device being pretty small, I worry that it might easily be misplaced or lost.

Overall thought, I have been so impressed with this device and really wish I'd found out about it sooner. Better late than never though! Do you need a SanDisk Dual USB Drive in your life?

  1. I think I need one of the c ports too! The girls have androids and we have iPhones. They often want the same movie on the go, and often run of space, so this is a great way to bypass that!
