Chocolate Orange Slow Cooker Fudge Recipe - A Homemade Christmas Gift

Terry's Chocolate Orange Slow Cooker Fudge Recipe - A Homemade & Edible Christmas Gift

After reading this post by Rainy Day Mum, I was really inspired to create my own fudge in the slow cooker - it looked incredibly easy and looked like something the kids could help with. I LOVE Terry's Chocolate Orange and with Christmas around the corner, thought that Terry's Chocolate Orange Slow Cooker Fudge would be perfect to create as a homemade Christmas gift. This was our practice run.

5 - After 2 hours, remove from the fridge and cut into required size. This recipe made enough to fill 2 small Mason jars with a little left over for the helpers.

This recipe can be prepared a fair bit in advance - fudge will keep in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks, in the fridge for 2-3 weeks and in the freezer for up to 3 months (always store in an airtight container).

Kids can help under supervision - Heidi (7) helped to stir the fudge but be warned the slow cooker can get hot.

We were super pleased with the results. Our ingredients cost £10 including the two jars (Sainsburys special offer) - that makes the cost of our gift work out at just £5 per jar - for a homemade gift of this quality, we think it's a real bargain. The fudge is absolutely delicious and I promise it will be well-received by all who tastes it.

Let me know if you're planning on giving this recipe a go (it really is super easy). Maybe you can try it with a different flavour and swap chocolate orange for your favourite chocolate.

  1. I think I'd struggle not to open the slow cooker and take a big old spoonful of it! I'd end up with no mixture left!

  11. So glad I spotted this on your sidebar! I bulk bought chocolate oranges when they were on offer with the plan of making fudge for people for Christmas. Can I ask the reason for adding the milk chocolate? Do you think it would work with just terrys?

    1. There's no reason - I just thought it might be too orang-y. I'm sure it will be fine with all Terry's. Yum!!

    2. Currently making it now. My 6 year old put all the ingredients in - hint by an extra bar of chocolate as the munchkins will want to “taste it” can’t want to see how it turns out

  12. This is the second year we’ve used your recipe. It was a massive hit last year with all that received it! We were told to make twice as much this year! Thank you x

  13. I had a go at making this today and it came out quite chewy - is that how everyone else’s came out? It’s nice just not the texture I was expecting. Not sure if my slow cooker runs too hot even on the low setting. Thanks x

  18. Think I will try with the oranges and dark chocolate. Don't see why it won't work? And won't be so sweet.
