What's On for Kids & Families in the North East | October Half Term

The Big Juice Family Day 
Discovery Museum & Trinity Square
Saturday 22 & 23 October | 11am - 3pm

Celebrate the start of the Juice Festival with lots of FREE family fun across two venues. Team Juice will be on hand from 11am - 3pm and there'll be special preview appearances from lots of Juice acts from the week ahead. No need to book, just turn up.


Pumpkin Trail Woodhorn
Woodhorn Museum
Saturday 22 - Sunday 30 October | All day

Pick up your trail sheet from the welcome desk and explore the museum to find all of the pumpkins in the trail. There will be a small treat for anyone who completes the trail. Suggested donation £1.

Anime Attacks
Gateshead Central Library & Leisure Centre
Saturday 22 October | 10am - 6pm

Anime Attacks celebrates all things Japanese. The popular Anime convention will be packed with cosplay, music, arts, crafts, fashion, food & more. Tickets are just £7.50 each (parent passes are £3 and available on the door) and under 5's are free.


Fabulous Fireworks 
Lightwater Valley
Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October | All Day (Fireworks at 6:30pm)

Lightwater Valley is open as normal but once darkness falls, spectators will be treated to a spectacular fireworks display at no extra cost. We enjoyed this display a few year's ago and if you head down, you're in for a treat. Entrance fee applies.


Meet the Snakes
Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens
Saturday 22 October | 11am, 1pm and 2pm

Now is your chance to get up close and personal with these fascinating reptiles. You'll be able to touch and hold several snakes and there'll be lots of photo opportunities during this 45 minute experience. Tickets are just £2.50 each.
