This post is going to share a lovely coastal walk in North Tyneside which is brilliant to enjoy with kids and/or a dog, with friends, as a couple or even by yourself. It's a fantastic walk for all occasions!
Reasons I love this walk
- Easy, flat and pushchair friendly
- Linear 2-3 mile route. You can walk back to make it a 4-6 mile route or catch the Metro (it takes less than 5 minutes)
- There are 2 playgrounds along the route
- Lots of cafes, ice cream kiosks and pubs to stop along the way
- Dogs on leads welcome
- You can go down onto the sand if you like or just stay on the prom
- It's part of our 'Visit 12 North East Lighthouses in One Day Challenge'
- Easy to get to the start point by bus, Metro or car
- A beautiful, scenic route
