Dog Friendly Days Out for Autumn


๐Ÿถ Dogs are welcome at Spilman’s Pumpkin Festival where you’ll find lots of fun activities (including pumpkin slingshot) and a pumpkin patch. Selected dates across October.

๐Ÿถ Dogs can join you for a walk around the grounds at Beamish Museum. We love an autumn walk here! You can stop for refreshments with your dog in the Sun Inn Pub, Drovers Tavern or Cafe at the Museum Entrance.



๐Ÿถ Dogs are permitted at Alnwick Garden on Thursdays & Sundays until 16 Nov. They can join in with the autumn scavenger hunt and watch on as you play autumn games on the lawn. 


๐Ÿถ There are FREE Halloween Trails at Druridge Bay, Plessey Woods & Tyne Riverside Country Parks running from 3 October - all dog friendly 


๐Ÿถ There’s a Spooky Skeleton Trail at High Force Waterfall from 3 Oct - 1 Nov. Our dog loves this walk and the High Force Hotel across the road is dog friendly too if you fancy a bite to eat afterwards

๐Ÿถ Hexham Old Gaol is an indoor dog friendly attraction and from 10 October they can join in with the Hexham Skull Trail and Ghost Making

๐Ÿถ Dogs are welcome to join in with the Trick or Treat Trail at Hopetown Darlington over Half Term

๐ŸถThere’s a Skeleton Key Trail at Hardwick Park over October Half Term which is dog friendly

๐Ÿถ Dogs will love a walk around Wallington Woods as their grown ups check out their outdoor autumn photography exhibition

๐Ÿถ All of the STACK venues are dog friendly until 9pm and there are several Halloween events for both kids and adults taking place

๐Ÿถ There’s a Halloween Pumpkin Trail at Northumberlandia which is dog friendly (dog treats and sausages available from the cafe too)

๐Ÿถ Dogs will love joining the family at Ford & Etal for their annual ScaryCrow trail over October Half Term. The whole area is very dog friendly and dogs are welcome on the mini train and at the Heavy Horse Farm


๐Ÿถ There’s an Autumn Trail at Weetslade Country Park which is popular for dog walkers

๐Ÿถ Dogs are welcome to join you an an autumn walk around Raby Castle Deer Park 


๐Ÿถ There’s a dog-friendly Room on the Broom Trail at both Kielder and Hamsterley Forest 


๐Ÿถ Check out the Stranger Folk Halloween Trail at Gibside featuring Goblins and other creatures who lurk around the area….


๐Ÿถ There’s a Wellies & Wildlife Trail at Crook Hall Gardens where dogs are welcome

๐Ÿถ Visit Barter Books with your pooch & pick up a new cosy autumn read
