Christmas & Santa at Spilmans Review

Spilmans Farm is a lovely family-run farm near Thirsk in North Yorkshire. We are big fans and never miss their pumpkin picking event in October. It's an easy 1 hour drive down the A19 from Newcastle and there is ample free parking on site.

Winter Wonderscape at Metrocentre Review

This weekend we made the trip to the Metrocentre, to see what their Winter Wonderscape was all about. I was a bit worried I had chosen the wrong weekend to visit, with it being the Black Friday weekend and only a month away from Christmas.

We were booked in for 4pm so it wasn’t too bad as the shops were quieting off a bit and there was an excited buzz in the air.

Lazy Bear Tipi Newcastle Central Station

This post is based on a visit in November 2023.

Lazy Bear Tipi Newcastle Central Station

We visited Lazy Bear Tipi on a sunny Sunday afternoon in November while we were out celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was the first bar we visited so we got there for opening. In fact we were the first ones there which why it looks so quiet in my photos.

Let's take a look at what's on across the North East for kids and teens this month.......

Beauty & the Beast at Newcastle Theatre Royal

What's On in North East England for Kids & Teens - November 2023

Northern Ballet's Beauty & the Beast is showing at Newcastle Theatre Royal until 11 November. It's a gorgeous show with stunning costumes, out of this world dancing and of course a fabulous live orchestra too. I loved that there were some comedy moments too - I wasn't expecting that. The show is packed with drama and emotion.
