Must make a note to put these on the list! As a child, before the M1 was finished, we used to take a 6 hour drive to visit my grandparents. A highlight of the trip was stopping for a ploughman's lunch at our favourite pub! I'll have to make a note of Bolsover for our next trip in that direction.Actually Mummy...https://www.blogger.com/profile/06425476163374667083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340560222446184520.post-35942126970321563862016-03-06T13:26:51.172+00:002016-03-06T13:26:51.172+00:00We loved the Roman Forte Sam it is so interesting ...We loved the Roman Forte Sam it is so interesting isn't it? And Hadrian's Wall is on my bucket list too, I've always wanted to visit and just not got that far. Love stopping at castles or National Trust properties etc to break long journeys as well - SO much better than a dreary depressing service station (and better cake)!MummyTravelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12627178134463451452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3340560222446184520.post-16589508959739833022016-03-04T19:08:33.551+00:002016-03-04T19:08:33.551+00:00We have an English heritage membership and we have...We have an English heritage membership and we haven't taken the kids to any of these places yet. Bolsover is so near us, we must go back, I only remember going with a toddler who was having a running off phase! And Hadrian's wall reminds me of a holiday I had as a kid, and of how much mine would love a bit of this history too.Penny P.S. and A Residencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06763484380356593179noreply@blogger.com
