Your child could win a £100 Amazon Voucher with their poster design

My three children LOVE drawing and I nearly always take pens and papers with me when we visit a restaurant. At least some part of our weekend usually includes creating some sort of piece of art so when I spotted a Health and Safety Poster Competition for kids from Accident Helpline I challenged Heidi to take part. The winner will receive a £100 amazon voucher (woohoo) with a runners up prize of a £25 voucher so I think it's well worth entering. I'm sure a £100 spending spree on Amazon is most children's idea of heaven!

What you need to do

*Simply ask your kids (aged under 16) to design a poster around Health and Safety and how accidents can be prevented.

*Tweet a photograph of their poster using #aahhealthandsafety or email it to

*Closing date is midnight on 21st May 2016.

Heidi's Poster

We talked about some accidents that could happen and thought about advice for keeping away from hair straighteners or watching out for hot water coming from the tap. In the end we decided that people sometimes run across slippy floors and need to be more careful. Heidi designed a poster featuring someone spilling their drink. Heidi wanted to get across her message that if you do this you should put out a 'slippy floor' sign but also use your common sense and don't run.

I think it's really effective and Heidi is very proud. She has already put the poster up in our kitchen to remind our family not to run indoors. We made a short video of how Heidi made her poster below:-

We have tweeted our competition entry so if you spot it in your timeline please give us a little like or RT.

If you would like to enter the competition yourself let me know and I'll RT your entry too.

Good luck!
