How to have the BEST pancake day ever

Pancake Day falls on Tuesday 9th February - don't forget! I am over the moon that for once, Steve will be at home too. For the past 4 years it's been down to me to cook pancakes and I'm not the best at flipping. I even broke our pan last year!! (as the kids like to remind me!)

Because we are all at home this year, I plan to make it better than ever and have put together an ultimate guide to ensure you have the best pancake day ever.

Maybe visit The Pancake Cafe in Durham (reviewed here by Canny Food)

Whatever you end up doing, I hope you have fun. Let me know your favourite toppings :-)

  1. I am rubbish at making pancakes. I do try but always have some ready made one's as a back-up. Those Pancake rings are a great idea.

  2. I already have began the stocking up for a plethera of topping options.

Chocolate sprinkles, golden syrup, maple syrup, honey, jam, ice-cream, chocolate sauce, toffee sauce, lemon, sugar.

On my list to get are bananas and blueberries.

Really looking forward to our family pancake tossing competition too.

    Have fun!

  3. and now you've made me hungry ;) I love a good pancake.

  4. I'd totally forgot about pancake day! I'll probably have nutella but will try including marshmallows for a change. The salted caramel pancake from La Petite Crêperie sounds good, will have to give it a try.

  5. I love petite creperie, was there yesterday and enjoyed both sweet and savoury! Not to mention some excellent banter with the handsome French owner! 😍

  6. You just can't beat sugar and lemon. But if I was having crepes from a stall, I would go with calvados. And american style pancakes are always maple syrup and butter for me.

I always love reading your thoughts and comments - Sam x
