Newcastle Restaurant Week 2015: Our top picks for family dining

Newcastle Restaurant Week runs from 19th-25th January 2015 and with a huge 79 restaurants taking part, this year promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The idea is for diners to enjoy great food at some of Newcastle's finest restaurants for only £10 or £15 per person. Now I am of the opinion that just because you have children it doesn't mean you have to be excluded from trying these fabulous deals. With that in mind, I have compiled a list of our top picks for families who want to make the most of restaurant week.

Visit Get Into Newcastle to find the full list of restaurants taking part and any restrictions on times. Booking is normally required and you will usually need to download a voucher to take part.

So those are our top picks for families during Newcastle restaurant week. We are going to try The Sausage Emporium (as it's one of our favourites - we've never taken the children but think they'll love it) and Lane 7 as we have been wanting to visit for ages and they have been able to accommodate us late on a Saturday evening when we finish work (and are child-free). Also hoping to visit Cafe 21 with the girls so I'll have lots to report back on!

Will you be trying somewhere new during restaurant week? I would love to hear what you think. If you fancy guest posting a restaurant week review on our site, simply drop me an email - samantharickelton@googlemail.com (you don't even need to be a blogger). I look forward to hearing from you.

    1. It's a fantastic idea - I think all city centre's should jump on board - great for community and to boost trade in January. Pus the diner is getting a good deal so everyone's a winner!
