This month's Center Parc's blogger challenge is very seasonal and super easy to take part. Everybody can manage to make Easter nests! We make them every year with cornflakes and chocolate. This year we decided to do something a little bit different. We read the tips on the Center Parc's website and took inspiration from this advice:-

'Mix some cereal, such as bran or broken up wheat, together with some melted chocolate and form the mixture in to nest-like shapes, leaving to cool for a finished nest'
We decided to literally 'mix some cereal' and raided our cupboards to see what we had.

We found chocolate hoops, jungle mix, honey coated numbers and traditional cornflakes. We decided this would be the perfect combination to make a nest. We decided a bird would use a few different materials to make their nests so wanted to copy this idea.

First of all we carefully melted some chocolate in the microwave.

Then we added by hand a unique combination of our cereal varieties.

We stirred the mixture together......

.....and then placed in individual cupcake holders ready to decorate.

We were rather pleased with our final design. We popped them in the fridge for a few hours to set and enjoyed them for supper that evening. We have saved one to leave out for the Easter bunny this weekend too.
